One of my first memories of Sarah include myself, Melody, and a New Years Eve party. We stayed home and watched a terrible chick flick while eating a wide variety of cheesecake. Melody and I sat on the couch and talked about life while Sarah sat and typed on her laptop. She was taking online graduate classes, and she had mandatory online discussion-posting sessions every night. Melody and I became interested in her homework when she read us some of the funny responses posted by students as far away as Latin America.

Later that year, Sarah, Melody, and I were introduced to Aaron, who goes by the name “AC” because his last name starts with a C. Shortly thereafter, AC and Sarah started dating. A year later, AC proposed to Sarah on their anniversary, while eating dinner at the melting pot. They will be getting married this July, so that Sarah’s sister can attend the wedding. The wedding will take place at the Kroc Center in downtown Dayton, where Sarah works as a fitness trainer.

Below are some of the highlights from AC and Sarah’s engagement session. The happy couple were smiling for two reasons: they are in love, and they are happy that the rain held off for their pictures.

Enjoy browsing the images!

Congrats AC and Sarah!

It all started when I was just ten years old, passing the time by shopping with my sister in stores near the beauty salon. Every three weeks my mom would go get her hair done, and that’s when I met her stylist Un Mi. Over the past 12 years, Un Mi has become almost like a sister to my mom. In fact, they are about the same height, have identical black-rimmed glasses, and style their hair the same way.

Sometimes I stop by the salon to say hi to Un Mi and talk to her about life, as one would do with any amazing hair stylist. Other times though, I go to beg her to fix my bad dye job and bring my hair back to it’s natural blond-ish shade. Last year Un Mi’s daughter Cynthia became a cosmetologist, and I had the pleasure of meeting her on Sunday for their lifestyle shoot. Stephen, Un Mi’s son, is serving in the Air Force and was home for just one week, so we seized the opportunity to update their old photos displayed inside their house .

Ben is a student at Miami University studying marketing, and Jeannette goes to the University of Cincinnati to study communications. Jeannette and I had a fun time laughing at Ben for attending a “preppy school” that is known for its ivy-league characteristics.

Jeannette’s blue dress and wedge shoes were perfect for her outdoor Love Shots shoot with Ben. Here are some of my favorite images:

The next photo was successful for two reasons: Jeannette’s smile was PERFECT, and we didn’t see any snakes in the field!

Here is a photo of the three of us avoiding the cars that were zipping by every 30 seconds:

Have a great summer Ben and Jeannette!

“Should we really be sitting in here?” I whispered to Allie as we crouched in the small corner of the schoolroom closet. We were waiting on Madame to return from lunch, and we were hoping to jump out and surprise her. As third year high school French etudiants we were comfortable- maybe too comfortable – pulling pranks on our loving and patient teacher.

Allie and I met in middle school when we were both transferring from other schools…and both played volleyball…and both took French and advanced math. In fact, Allie and I were in almost every high school class together for four straight years. I can still remember Allie’s brightly technicolored school supplies and her neatly organized day planner. I also remember the day in chemistry class when we told me that she was officially dating Liam (nicknamed Billy at the time), whom she had known since childhood.

Fast forward through high school and most of college, when Liam and Allie, who were still dating, attended a Coldplay concert. While their favorite band played the song “Life in Technicolor”, Liam asked Allie to marry him. I had the pleasure of shooting their engagement pictures back in August, and now, shot their wedding in Cincinnati. The Coldplay theme was evident throughout the wedding, from the colors to the music. Take a look at my favorite images:

Now presenting Mr. & Mrs. Gambill!

After a very rainy morning, there was a break in the clouds just long enough for the bride and groom’s portraits:

I adore this picture:

Here’s a fun slideshow documenting their wedding highlights. Turn up the volume!

Congratulations Liam and Allie!
