Modern Photographer for Fashionable People.

Welcome! My name is Lindsay and I'm a Southern Ohio wedding photographer. I love blessing others through photography in Jesus' name. I'm married to a robotics engineer named Michael and we love meeting new people and creatively documenting their lives. What sets me apart as a photographer is my ability to create a unique, sophisticated, and fashionable experience for every client. On this blog you will find photos from my recent shoots and personal design projects. Thanks for stopping by!

Mike and I walked up to the gate to enter Smith Memorial Gardens. On the front was posted a sign that read Please keep the gate closed to keep the deer out. After reading this sign, we knew this shoot was going to be awesome.

Upon entering the gardens, Melissa greeted us with a smile, despite the nearly 100 degree heat. For the next hour, we had fun posing with her sun hat and trying to spy on the black cat that kept running passed us.

After capturing many fun fashionable photos, I am confident in Melissa’s career as a model. Here’s some of my favorite images from the shoot:

After 9 months separated due to military deployment and training, my love Michael and I were reunited in Alaska. It was a beautiful week of reconnecting as a couple and we are so excited about our upcoming wedding in 75 days!

Here is a glimpse of our week together:

This is Michael’s Calvin Klein jacket. It is his favorite piece of clothing.

Meet Wall-E, one of Michael’s robots. Michael builds robots, names them, and then creates programs to make them do cool things. That’s my robotics engineer!

You can’t see his Magic Mouse, but it’s on the desk. Trust me.

And lastly…. a photo of us together. Finally reunited! Praise the Lord.

Meet my dear friend Beth.

On average we study together four times a week. I know what she packs for lunch most days before she opens her lunchbox, and I have a designated seat on her couch to watch Chuck on Monday nights.

These shots were taken as a gift to her parents. There is always a reason to celebrate life with photography!

I always believed she would meet her goal. To lose 100 lbs was a daunting task, but one that Melody conquered with style.

I’ve had the pleasure of documenting her progress through a series of lifestyle shoots, which you can check out here:

The Red Hot Shoot

The Transformation Shoot

The Beginning Shoot

Today, we celebrated the final culmination of her accomplishment, but more than that, a brand new beginning. She looked stunning in her outfits, but her perspective on health and life was glowing as well. Enjoy this visual celebration!

A striking before and after:

Over the past year, I have been documenting my best friend Melody’s weight loss journey. Just type “Melody” into the search bar above and you can learn about her recent lifestyle change. It’s been great shooting her because I can try out new things with my camera, and the photos provide her with visual encouragement of her progress.

For this set of images, I shot with my new 50mm f/1.2 and the sun was almost completely gone for the day. (When I say gone for the day, I mean the streetlights were already shining brightly.) My goal was to see how well this lens focused with low light sources, no flash, and a high iso. I’m excited with the results.

Melody is nearing 90lbs of weight loss. She’s within 20lbs of her goal, and I support her 100% as she is nearing the finish line of a brand new healthy lifestyle. Sometimes her daily workouts put me to shame!

Our plan is to have a fun spring shoot in a couple months to celebrate her completion of such a life-changing challenge.
